As an ex-professional player Joey has gained valuable experience from all over the world. Alongside his playing career he has been teaching and coaching for over 10 years. He specialises in developing young athletes and is passionate about skill development and team culture.
A highlight of his playing career was playing against the All Blacks.

A highlight of my playing career would be playing against the All Blacks in my home town of Pukekohe, New Zealand. My dream came true when I became a professional player for my childhood heroes the Counties Manukau Steelers. Scoring a conversion from the sideline in this game will always stick out in my mind.
